In this episode I talk to Wes Pryor about making markets for altcoins that are often illiquid and new coin distributions.

In this episode, I talk to Wes Pryor, of Liquid Malta. Wes’s business provides market making services in the cryptocurrency space, primarily for lower liquidity small cap altcoins, including new listings. They have worked a lot on projects with initial distributions through decentralized exchanges like IDEX. We talked about how those opportunities come about, how they work practically, and discuss a lot of risks in the market.

The idea of market making brand new listings, and going into partnership agreements with exchanges and coin teams, is fascinating to me. Mostly because it sounds a bit scary. Wes is a smart investor and trader and he helps break down exactly what kinds of risks there are, what the practice requires, and how they do what they do.
